Paring Chisel

  • Blue Spruce Toolworks Paring Chisels are specialty chisels designed for the paring and precision fitting of your finest joinery. They have a refinement and feel that is unmatched. They are machined from A2 steel alloy, heat treated and tempered to a Rc60 hardness and then precision ground to fine tolerances. The 6-3/4 inch blade length allows for excellent control and superb balance especially with the larger paring chisel style handle. Please be aware that this is a delicate blade and has some flexibility to it. The unique concave side bevels allow the chisel to pare right into the tightest corners of your joinery and give a refined, elegant look to the chisels. They are available with a choice of handles and blade widths to meet your exacting requirements. They will become your favorite chisels when only the finest work will do.

See the tabs above for illustrations of handle options and blade sizes and then use the drop down menus below to select your options. You must select the width of blade, style of handle, type of wood, ferrule finish and whether you want a smooth handle or fluted handle.

Note that we make your chisels to order and try very hard to keep lead times to a week or two at the most. On very rare occasion the lead times can be up to 6 weeks.

Please note that due to current CITES regulations we are unable to ship African Blackwood, Cocobolo and other Rosewoods or dalbergia outside of the USA. Please do not order these options if your final shipping destination is not in the USA. Thank you for your understanding.
