A truly sharp chisel edge requires two perfectly flat, polished faces—but most chisels don’t come that way. They typically need hours of sharpening, honing, lapping, and polishing before they’re ready for serious work.
Blue Spruce Chisels eliminate that hassle and come in two levels of preparation:

STANDARD: Ready to use out of the box. Perfectly surface ground on both top and bottom faces. Sharpened with a micro bevel and ready for your finest woodworking projects.
PREMIUM: Top of the line preparation. Surface ground, lapped and polished to an unmatched level of performance.
Note: If you have purchased chisels prior to September 2025, your chisel had the premium blade preparation option.
Blue Spruce Chisel Plane replacement straight and spearpoint blades. The blades are interchangeable, so you can use one body and switch between blade styles, if you choose.
