Midi Card Scrapers

Whatever type of curved, shaped or profiled piece you're working on, there's a surface on the Blue Spruce Midi-Scraper Set that will fit. The 4-piece set includes a 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" rectangle with relieved corners, a 2-1/2" French curve, a 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" ellipse and a "bowtie" with 2 concave surfaces and 2 convex surfaces. Just find the section of the scrapers that most closely matches the shape of your workpiece and scrape away.

At .032", these are thicker than traditional profiled scrapers, making them both easier to use and easier to sharpen. They won't flex and chatter, and they're easier to burnish than typical thin scrapers. We carefully machine the edges perfectly square using high-speed CNC mills. The mills leave behind a polished finish that's ready to cut…with or without burnishing.

Speaking of burnishing…we've made two new small-diameter solid carbide burnishing tools designed to pull consistent, razor-sharp hooks faster and easier. The burnishers are available in your choice of wood for the handle: Resin-Infused Curly Maple or Bolivian Rosewood.
