Card Scrapers - Contoured

Reach into tight coves and around radiused shoulders with Blue Spruce Toolworks' Contour Scrapers. Grain lifting and tool marks never seem to happen in convenient spots. They seem to prefer the bottom of grooves and inside tight corners.  Going after these blemishes with abrasives presents some challenges; most notably not destroying the carefully cut details. Here's a pair of scrapers that will change the way you approach surface preparation for your flawless finish. Our Contour Scrapers have 4 half-round shapes and 4 90° arcs giving you the shapes you need to clean beads, round-overs and coves. The large scraper has 1/2", 5/8", 3/4" and 1" diameters and the smaller one has 1/8", 1/4", 3/8" and 7/16".   

Blue Spruce Contour Scrapers are milled from the same .062" 1095 spring steel used in all BSTW Card Scrapers. These extra-thick scrapers won't flex and chatter, and they're easier to burnish than typical thin scrapers. The edges are carefully machined on high-speed CNC mills, keeping the edge perfectly square to the blade and delivering a polished finish that's ready to cut…with or without burnishing.
