When you need a bit of persuasion during final assembly, the Blue Spruce Toolworks Leather Assembly Mallet achieves the job efficiently and won't dent your carefully crafted project in the process. Through months of experimentation, we've developed a lamination process that maintains the resilience of the leather but eliminates layer separation. This tool will work as good as it looks for generations to come.  

Perfect for both large-scale furniture work but suitable for smaller projects too, this mallet brings just the right heft and balance to deliver the exact amount of force needed. The layered leather mallet head won’t bounce back on you, and most importantly, it will never damage your workpiece or your tools. 

Each mallet head is covered in 100% genuine cowhide leather (from Ohio’s beloved Amish country, no less) that is conjoined to our signature Resin-Infused Curly Maple handle. And similar to our infused maple head mallets, a steel shaft reinforces the connection between the handle and the head. But in the leather mallet, the head is secured with a turned brass end cap and a flathead machine screw, instead of epoxy. This construction results in a surprisingly powerful tool in a compact form.

Each mallet weighs 14-16oz with each mallet head measuring approximately 2” in diameter and 3-3/8” long.  Keep in mind that leather and wood are natural products. Color, grain, shape, and figure will vary—no two mallets will be exactly the same.
