Absolute Depth and Consistency Control

Unlike freehand softening with a standard block plane, the EZ Edge gives you absolute control over the appearance and uniformity of the cut. The V-shaped sole forms a perfect 90-degree angle. When resting on the corner of your stock, it automatically centers the cutter perfectly over the edge.  Depth adjustment is seamless and intuitive: the thumbwheel sits comfortably under your thumb, allowing you to dial in ultra-subtle micro-shavings or take successive passes to establish dramatic profiles. Because each pass is physically limited by your depth adjustment, your profiles remain completely uniform from one end of the board to the other, eliminating the risk of mismatched angles or heavy spots.

Premium Materials and Signature Finish

The body of the plane is precisely machined from aircraft-grade aluminum, contoured to mimic the comfortable grip of historic antique molding and rabbet planes.  The body is finished in our striking signature Blue Spruce Green Anodizing, creating an incredibly smooth, low-friction wear surface that glides over your lumber without any risk of marring.
At the heart of the tool is a heavy-duty cutter machined from premium O1 tool steel. Each blade is hardened and precision lapped.  You will need to hone the perfectly flat back of the cutter on your favorite fine-grit bench stone.

Every EZ Edge Corner Plane is shipped with its own wall-mountable Rack-It, ensuring your edge relief tools stay safely organized and within arm's reach. All profiles are completely interchangeable and utilize the exact same body style, meaning you can swap cutters into a single body or collect the full dedicated set to match your workflow.
