Carcass Saws

Though commonly reserved for crosscuts, you’ll find a Blue Spruce Carcass Saw races through any challenge you bring to it.  With a hybrid toothline, it zips through hardwoods, leaving glue-ready joinery surfaces in its wake.  Its versatility makes the Carcass Saw an ideal saw to begin your collection.

To achieve the smoothest cut possible, the teeth of every Blue Spruce backsaw are CNC filed using CBN abrasives.  This proprietary process allows us to achieve a geometrically perfect toothline.  13 inches of cutting length ensures precise cuts without sacrificing speed.  We then friction fit the blade into a milled steel spine.  The combination of milled steel and the absence of adhesive creates a tool that is less likely to lose tension but can still be maintained over time; the best of both worlds.

To help fit into the Blue Spruce family, we resin-infuse each backsaw handle in your choice of Figured Maple or Black Walnut.  In addition to significant durability gains, the infusion virtually eliminates seasonal wood movement and more readily allows your saw to last for generations.
