Dual-Handle Carbide Burnisher

Forming the hook on a card scraper sounds so easy when you read a book or watch a YouTube video. But when you're by yourself in the shop, it can be another thing altogether. If you’ve struggled to burnish a hook that pulls wispy curls, you're not alone. And most of the burnishers on the market don't do much to help. With two identical handles, feeling the angle of the burnisher is as simple as steering a bicycle around a gentle curve. You have your choice of resin-infused figured Maple or Bolivian Rosewood for your handles.  

The carbide rod is harder than any scraper made, which can be an issue with some steel burnishers…if the hardness of the steel and the scraper are too close, burnishing is tricky. The rod has a texture that grabs the steel of the scraper and pushes it out, rather than just sliding around.
