We have many favorite past-times here at Blue Spruce Toolworks. Of course, there’s woodworking… but then there’s baseball, and we love baseball. And with Opening Day of the major league approaching, we’re celebrating the upcoming season by pitching you another special and limited-run Compact Round Mallet. They have the same great features as any of our award-winning mallets, but the real home-run is the mallet head. Each are made from authentic, professionally-used baseball bats, and each are truly one-of-a-kind. No matter how delicate or how demanding the chisel work, you’ll never find yourself in a pickle with a Blue Spruce Round Mallet. Every mallet head has been resin-infused with a tough polymer resin that increases the density of the maple by 80%. With every crack of the bat, you’ll be putting more “smack” into less space than simple wooden headed mallets. Our mallets give you just the right heft and balance to deliver the exact amount of force you need… finesse and power in perfect combination.

We’ve really loaded the bases for our latest special-edition mallet. We collected as many authentic, game-used baseball bats from the major leagues to create both weighted Ash and Maple mallet heads that look just as stunning as they will perform. Completing the look is an engraving of the Blue Spruce team emblem on the mallet head, along with a glossy navy handle, and red and white ferrules that pay homage to Cleveland’s beloved baseball club. 

This next feature might be similar to corking a baseball bat… you can’t see it, but you will definitely feel it. Except we aren’t making the mallet any lighter, we increase the mass and rigidity to the mallet by inserting a machined steel rod that extends deep into both sections.
