You cannot count on the weather getting nice for spring here in Portland, Oregon. Sometimes it is warm, sometimes it is cold. It is almost always very wet. But you know it must be spring when the Rhododendrons bloom. We are blessed to have a piece of property that has many mature Rhododendrons and every spring when they bloom they are so very lovely and give hope that the wet winter and spring are almost over. I grew up in sunny Southern California and even after 20 years here in Oregon have not quite adapted to the long rainy season. Here is a quick look at our spring flower show. I need to stop taking pictures and get back into the shop now!
