Blue Spruce Toolworks is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with another limited-edition Round Mallet. This year’s “Lucky” Round Mallet features a large-size resin-infused curly maple mallet head dyed to a shamrock green and a festive engraving, but this tool isn’t just a bunch of ba-larney with a festive appearance. It has all of the same great features as any of our award-winning round mallets. So, if you have yet to own a Blue Spruce mallet… consider yourself lucky.
But you won’t need any luck when chiseling with a Blue Spruce Round Mallet. You'll have the strength and control you wish you’ve had when tackling both delicate or demanding chisel work. The curly maple head is infused with a tough polymer resin that increases the density of the maple by 80%. The infused head puts more “smack” into less space than simple wooden headed mallets. In addition to concentrating power, the resin protects the wood fibers from compression. All in all, this beautiful tool will still look beautiful after chopping hundreds of dovetails and mortises.
For this special-edition mallet, the large-size resin-infused maple head has been permanently dyed through the surface of the wood with a shamrock green color. Completing the look is an orange ferrule resting between the head and the curly maple handle.
Here’s where the real charm lies. You won’t see it, but you’ll definitely feel the machined steel rod that extends deep into both sections. The joining shaft is epoxied in place, adding mass and rigidity to the mallet.
The Blue Spruce Limited-Edition Lucky Round Mallet is only available now through Tuesday, March 18, 2025. Don’t bunk off the chance for this one-of-a-kind mallet—order yours today!
